Below the search box, you will see the " Scan Barcode" feature. You will reach a page where you can Search for a food. Begin logging food as you normally would on this page by tapping " Add food" on your Diary. Tapping this icon should open the scanner immediately.Īlternatively, you can open the scanner from your Diary page. You can use the barcode feature on the New Dashboard page by tapping the scanner icon next to the Search for a Food bar. If you accidentally denied permission, please make sure to go back into your device settings (not MyFitnessPal settings) and then grant permission for MyFitnessPal to access your camera. You may need to grant permission for MyFitnessPal to access the camera on your device. If your device only has a forward facing camera, the scanner will not be available.
Please double check your device to make sure it has a rear camera option. In order to use the barcode feature, you will need a Premium subscription, along with a device that has a rear camera option. As of October 1, 2022, Barcode Scan will be available only with a Premium subscription.
